How the Runner of the Year (ROY) program works:

Points are given based on your fastest 15 club rums and your 5 fastest official races. Points are calculated based on a percentage of how close your time is compared to the world record for your age group.

• Example 1:  If you ran an 8:00 minute mile and the world record is 4:00 minutes you would receive 50 points (4 ÷ 8 =.5 × 100 = 50)
• Example 2:  If you ran a 5:00 minute mile and the world record is 4:00 minutes you would receive 80 points (4 ÷ 5 = .8 × 100 = 80)
