Amie won the drawing for the the shirt!

I ran a 5k in Wisconsin on June 9th in the hope for cope. My time wasn't as good as last month but ive been resting for my marathon training? I also did the pasta run with my 7 year old son for the first time!

Ran the Pasta Run 5K on June 20 at City Island. I ran with a friend and we had a lot of fun, but unfortunately the heat was killer! My time suffered because of it. Hoping that I'll still qualify for the June ROM 5K though! :)

Amie Fanucci- ran/walked a 5k with my 6yr old daughter Abigale this morning so she could compete in the June ROM 5K. Abbie was super excited to do it and kept waiting for a morning cool enough that I Thoght she could get thru it. The first mile was easy for her. The second she struggled but I kept reminding her of the medal she would get if she finished. Mile three started off good but toward the end she was gettig alittle discouraged as we passed our home for the third time. She kept looking at the GPS to see how far she had to go and once we hit Mile three she got excited and we ran the last .1! She's already asking when she'll get her medal. I think having the option of a participation medal was an excellent way to get my daughter involved in running. Now she'll have something to show for all the effort she put into finishing this morning! 

Michele Luckenbaugh: Had an enjoyable time competing in the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary's Ladies' 5k in York on June 2nd. I was able to better my time from the previous month! An exciting experience to be among all female competitors and the weather was great!

Jenelle Glover:  I ran the All Saints Academy 5k in Painted Post, NY today.  It was a nice flat, local race...exactly what I was looking for.  A lot of my recent races have been HILLY!  I've just come off training for and running a marathon, so I have the strength, but lost some of my speed.  I placed second female overall, but hope to lower my 5k time over the next couple of months.  Overall, the race was well organized.  Overall and age group winners were given medals made by Hands on Glass (which glass is huge here in Corning, NY because of Corning Inc being here).  We were also given stainless steel water bottles.  I would definitely run this race again!
