Running Fuel?

Perhaps you've seen the Seltzer's Lebanon Bologna advertisement on these pages and thought; "That's an odd sponsor". If so, I'd like to share some Seltzer's facts. Seltzer's is made from all beef, it has no pork or fillers. Seltzer's beef is 90% lean. The Smoke & Honey (also known as Slim Slices) is 95% lean. And Seltzer's is Naturally Wood Smoked in outdoor wooden smokehouses.

In fact, the least favorable aspect is the sodium content. But as runners, many of us are looking to replenish sodium levels. So go ahead, pick up a pack the next time you're in the supermarket. Flip it over and look at those nutritionals. I bet they'll surprise you.

I usually avoid processed meat, but I just might have to give Seltzer's a try after reading the description above!

I did read in the most recent Runners World that they were suggesting sandwiches w/ sodium rich foods, like procuitto (sp?) as a post-run fuel.
