ROAD RUNNING MAY 2012 ROM 5K

The Runner of the Month (ROM) 5K race is a way to join in with other online runners and have a chance to win awards without paying a large race fee. It is also a great way to push yourself each month if you don't have time to race with others. And it is only $3.99 5K.

Wrightsville SVCC 5k River Run

My time was 27:35... Still working my way back from taking some time off for a detached retina... Went out way too fast.  My first mile was 7:30... the final hill combined with my first ever blister killed my time... Been putting off buying new running shoes for too long!  Ill take it but it just shows i have to train a little harder... :)

I ran a 5k distance run this morning outside on the roads and it was my best time so far this month so I'm submitting it. 32.14 minutes. Thank you!

I ran in the Bob Potts Heritage Rail Trail 5k race on May 20,2012. My finishing time was 35 min. 20sec. earning me First Place in my age category. Have been running for only 1 year following my heart attack in 2011.

I noticed that the website encourages photos. The photo I am attaching is my family: husband Mike, sons Peter and Christian, and me. (Of the four of us I am the only one registered for the ROM 5k).
We competed as a family in a 5k this past weekend (May 12) in Hopatcong, NJ: The First Annual Dylan's Dinosaur Stomp 5k fun run and walk. It was a great event!  My husband and son, Peter, really don't enjoy running, but they did it to support our cousin Dylan and they did a great job. My younger son, Christian, loves to run and left us all in the dust. This was his first 5k. He is 11 years old. He and I will be running the Hope for Cope 5k in June, and we are considering signing up for the Gold Star Memorial Day 5k.
